The author is a nature lover and a former teacher, now a lecturer. He only started recording visual images of his thoughts after retirement. His exceptional love of the Savannah veld and its inhabitants is portrayed in the word images of his verses. He made his debut with the Afrikaans version of this collection of verses, namely “Spore op die Savanna”. This is the first of a series of writing projects.
